Official Welcome: Scoutmaster Jim

ree

Good morning

I’m thrilled to take a moment to officially welcome our new Scoutmaster, Jim Lempenau, to Troop 138!

While the news may not come as a surprise, after all, we’ve already seen Jim lead with heart, wisdom, and steady hands, it’s still a special moment worth celebrating. This transition has been incredibly smooth thanks to Jim’s dedication and familiarity with our troop.

Jim’s Scouting roots run deep. A proud Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow from Troop 36 in Oradell, Jim has remained a constant presence in Scouting throughout his life. He’s served as a den leader, Cubmaster, and Assistant Scoutmaster for both Troop 138B and 138G. His commitment to the values of Scouting is evident in everything he does.

Spend just five minutes with Jim, and you’ll understand why he perfectly embodies the spirit of “Yours in Scouting.” Whether he’s mentoring a Scout, stepping up to volunteer, or guiding a new leader, Jim always leads by example, with humility, energy, and purpose.

As the outgoing Scoutmaster, I couldn’t be more excited to see the direction Jim will take Troop 138. I hope you’ll join me in offering him your full support and best wishes as he steps into this role.

Before I close, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each of you for your support over the past three years. Leading this troop has been one of the great honors of my life. I’m especially grateful to our incredible team of Assistant Scoutmasters. Your passion, wisdom, and friendship allowed me to stand on the shoulders of giants and look toward the future with confidence.

Thank you again, and I look forward to seeing you all at our next meeting.

Yours in Scouting,

Ray
