We are hopefully done with the rain outs and have some great events coming up. Tonight is a regular meeting night, but it does not feel like just another meeting. We will gather at 7 PM at our usual place, the Office of Emergency Management, and there is plenty to recognize. A first trip is now in the books for two scouts. Merit badges have been earned. Someone has ranked up. Those moments deserve more than a quick mention at the end of announcements. A good Eagle Scout project leaves a place better than it was found. This Saturday, Michael is inviting neighbors, friends, Scouts, and anyone willing to lend a hand to help clean up Washington Spring at Van Saun Park. It looks like we are having a very very wet weekend. With a Nor'ester coming, it is almost a guarantee that all of the activities will be cancelled and it will be a mess. More importantly, it just won't be safe. With that we will have to cancel our camping trip this weekend and look for other days.
